Kenny in Nevada
The set-up ain't much. An old V4 Wisconsin from the yard. 30hp, 6.5:1 compression and a 3ph, 480v, 15kw brush generator. Would have prefered a water cooled hi compression engine, but this should work as back up for the water well.
The only wood chips here in Pahrump are from a tub grinder at the landfill, (makes long slivers) and the Vegas chips are mostly palm trees. Will have to go in search of elsewhere. I seen a post on your site from some one that mentioned using a muffin monster. While very expensive, they only have 1/4" teeth and produce a fine product for sewage influent. However that design concept using cutters made from 5/8" plate and a deeper bite could make a very uniform feedstock.
I will get some before and after pics of any carbon deposits on the pistons, valves and heads after a few batches.
