Chipper hopper

Has anyone here seen a nice example of a small chipper mounted on top of a hopper?

Being able to put your big fuel (i.e. branches and boards) into a chipper and have it fall down into your hopper would be nice.  We were trying to do such a thing for the honda for the Escape from Berkeley race last summer, but the little electric chipper we got really only created shavings.  So that plan was abandoned.

Some of the garden chippers are enough of disk chippers to create a bit of a reasonable chip.  Some of them are low squarish sort of things that could mount on a hopper in a not terrible way.  We had something like this on the mechabolic two years ago, but the hopper was much larger and easier to mount to.

To get a real good chip one seems to need at least the 19" chinese pto chippers at minimum.  Rhese are about $1200 I believe.  The chips out of these are reasonably chunky.  Not Lamant chunky.  But good enough that we should be able to work from there.  At some point it would be helpful for us to assemble a review of tolerable chippers for our job.  Currently we all just guess, with what is available.

Either way, has anyone has seen/made/heard of a good chipper/hopper integration like this?   If not, one of us should build one.  It'd be a very useful thing for all of us.
