What is Your Process Environment?

If all thermal processes required an oxidizing or inert atmosphere, the issue of process environment would not be of much concern. The world is not so simple. Fortunately ZIRCAR offers high quality insulation products which are suitable for use in a variety of industrial environments. Our SiO2 bonded products provide the highest temperature rating and dimensional stability of all compositions-when used in an oxidizing or inert atmosphere. For reducing atmospheres, which dissolves SiOat temperatures over 1200°C, our "AA" Al203bonded products contain virtually no free SiO2. Even though all ceramic fiber products are hydrophilic and want to absorb H20 from the atmosphere our alumina bonded and specially processed AL-30AAH has so little relative surface area that once its atmospheric moisture is driven off its vacuum suitability is established.

  • ITC-100 HT Ceramic Coating is a versatile high temperature coating that has proven to achieve outstanding energy savings and refractory protection.  Use it alone or as a base coat for other ITC products.  It is used as a covering for ceramic fiber insulation or castable refractory. This material reflects radiant heat back into the furnace or forge to achieve high temperatures quickly and efficiently.
  • Unique high temperature materials used in the ceramics, metalworking and aerospace industries. ITC-100 is particularly well known in the blacksmithing and ceramics communities as a protective coating for gas forge and pottery kiln linings. It is recommended to use over Kaowool, Inswool, Fiberfrax or other refractory blanket materials to prevent damage as well as airborn refractory dust. ITC-100 and 296A improve the IR reflectivity of all furnace linings improving fuel efficiency and overall throughput. It is also a good protectant for other expensive refractory linings (fiber, castables and fire brick).
